What documents should you prepare for an ETA application?

The passport you will travel with
The ETA is linked to the passport used to apply. Prepare the passport you intend to use to enter the UK.
If that passport expires or changes, the linked ETA cannot simply be transferred to the new document: a new ETA may be required.
A facial photo
The process requires a photo of the applicant’s face. When applying online for someone else, you need a photo of their passport and a facial photo.
Photo quality and compliance matter: a photo that does not meet the rules can delay or jeopardise the application.
Information and contact details
An email address is needed to apply and receive the decision. Personal details are also requested, including address, employment, any other nationalities and certain suitability questions.
An accepted payment method is also needed for an official application.
Check the traveller’s identity and passport number particularly carefully before submission.
